AKCSE (Association of Korean-Canadian Scientists and Engineers) UBC will be hosting its first annual AKCSE Research Competition for undergraduate students from across the province on March 19, 2010. Individual students or teams of students will perform a study on a topic of their interest and prepare a presentation for a panel of judges composed of UBC professors and active scientists and engineers.

The competition will gather a diverse group of students, professors, scientists, and engineers.The winner of the competition will receive a scholarship prize of $1,000. The prize for second place is $500 and $300 for third place.The competition is open to any undergraduate engineering/science student in B.C. and the deadline to enter is Monday, January 25, 2010.
