S. Esther Chung graduated from UBC with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies which allowed her to pursue many of her interests including History and Psychology. She continued her studies at the University of Manitoba where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2008. She was called to the B.C. Bar in 2009 and has practiced in areas of corporate/commercial, real estate, secured lending and wills and estates. In April 2016, she changed her practice focus to join her husband at Simpson, Thomas & Associates where she now practices exclusively in ICBC Personal Injury Law. Esther serves on the board of directors of the Vancouver Korean-Canadian Scholarship Foundation, Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, and the Rose of Sharon Foundation. She has written a legal column for the Korea Times, has been a course presenter in the Continuing Legal Education program, and speaks at various legal education and mentorship seminars for the public hosted by organizations such as S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and C3.
