C3 Pre-Leadership Conference 2015 meet up / CKFTA & U

Save the Date! C3 Society is hosting a lead-up event to the 2015 Leadership Conference. We will be inviting mentors and delegates from the previous years for you to meet. 

As a bonus, we are planning to invite some key stakeholders to talk about the new CKFTA (Canada Korea Free Trade Agreement) and what this will mean to you.

    We are pleased to introduce to you our 1st speaker. More update to follow. --- Paul Seear is the Executive Director of the Canada Korea Centre for Trade and Partnership. Paul has over 17 years’ experience in management, public and stakeholder relations, strategic communications, issues management and policy development. Seven years specific to government and international relations. He has served as a Director of Policy for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada and Western Economic Diversification. Paul was proud to have served as the inaugural Chief of Staff to Canada’s first Korean Canadian parliamentarian, Senator Yonah Martin. He has extensive cultural experience having worked with many community groups and organizations in both a political and educational context and has travelled broadly throughout the world including difficult to access markets such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Paul believes in the potential to further expand Canada Korea relations through trade and community engagement. His experience with Korean culture began in high school where he worked for a Korean businessman delivering pizza. He has also worked at the University of British Columbia teaching western business culture and English language skills to senior managers from Korean companies such as LG. Paul is married to a Korean Canadian and is the proud father of two half-Korean children.
