The most important skill in owning your identity and developing your career will be networking skills. A stranger you meet today might be your future boss, business partner, potential mentor, or your spouse! The most effective way to build the skill is to practice. That's why we have multiple networking sessions throughout the conference where you can mingle with other mentors that you didn't have a chance to talk to in the Roundtable sessions. Or you can talk to other delegates and make new connections.
The networking session is open with no agendas or restraints. Mentors know you probably didn't have much of a chance to carry out "networking" social moves before, so don't be intimidated. This is a safe environment where mentors want to talk with you. Don't stick to people you already know and challenge yourself to talk to as many new people as you can! Don't be afraid to ask for the mentors' contact information to follow up, and make sure you bring your own business card too.
